Hello Jerry,
My Pigott line is from Abington Pigotts, Cambridgeshire. I have seen the names you mention in various records and I believe they are cousins on my main line. However, my descent is through Granado Pigott born 1652, married Margaret Smith 1679 and died 1724. Their son Granado born c1690 married Ann Lacy in 1780. I've descended through Granado/Ann's daughter, Margaret who married Rev. Robert Hagar in 1766. She died aged 97 in 1830.

The Granado so many are named for was Jacques Granado originally from Brabant. He was first in the service of Henry VIII, then of Edward VI and then Mary. He was knighted after the Battle of Musselburgh in 1547 and died in a riding accident in 1557. He was also in records as James Granado.

I do have more Jerry, and if you are interested in this line please feel free to email me direct -

Bev Garry, Sydney
