Yes, getting access to the book "John Pigman and His Descendant" would be very helpful. A whole chapter is devoted to the "Knott County, KY, Pigmans"
Here's some info from the book:
John Wesley PIGMAN was born ca. 15 Jan 1794 in Chatham Co., NC. He died 8 Mar 1884 in Knott Co., KY.
John married Rosana AMBURGEY, daughter of John AMBURGEY and Elizabeth HAMONS, on 20 Mar 1816 in Russell Co., VA. Rosana was born 17 Nov 1795 in Wilkes Co., NC. She died 19 Mar 1885 in Knott Co., KY.
John & Rosana's son:
Wesley PIGMAN I(John Wesley) was born about 1821 in Castelwood, Russell Co., VA. Wesley married (1) Sarah ADAMS in Letcher Co., KY. Sarah died. Wesley also married (2) Mary CORNETT, daughter of Jesse CORNETT and Nancy SMITH, on 1844. Mary was born 1823. She died 1869. Wesley also married (3) Martha HUGHES about 1875. Martha was born about 1845
Wesley & Mary's son:
Wesley PIGMAN II (Wesley I, John Wesley) was born 7 Mar 1864 in Letcher Co, KY. He died 17 Jul 1943 in KY and was
buried in Water Gap, Floyd Co., KY. Wesley married Luranie AMBURGEY, daughter of William H AMBURGEY and Mary Ann SCALF, on 26 Feb 1889 in Knott Co., KY. Luranie was born 1 Feb 1869 in Whitesburg, Letcher Co., KY.
They had the following children:
i. Kelly PIGMAN was born 10 Jan 1890 in Knott Co., KY. He died 7 Jul 1962 and was buried in Lee Memorial Park, Penninton Gap, VA.Kelly married Rebecca AMBURGEY, daughter of John S AMBURGEY and Jane ?, on 18 Feb 1913 in Knott Co., KY. Rebecca was born 2 Feb 1894 in Omaha, Knott Co., KY.
ii. Thomas PIGMAN was born 1 Apr 1891 in Knott Co., KY.
iii. Mary Ann PIGMAN was born Jun 1897 in Knott Co., KY.
iv. Nancy PIGMAN was born 30 Jun 1899
v. Ada PIGMAN was born 2 Apr 1900.
vi. Myrtle PIGMAN was born 20 Aug 1902.
vii. Ora PIGMAN was born 30 Sep 1904. She died 16 Feb 1993 in Prestonburg, Floyd Co., KY.
viii. Bird PIGMAN was born 30 Sep 1906. She died Aug 1990.
ix. Hargis PIGMAN was born May 6 or 8 1908. He died 30 Oct 1997 in Prestonburg, Floyd Co., KY.
x. Bryna PIGMAN was born 10 Jun 1910. She died 11 Feb 1996 in Prestonburg, Floyd Co., KY.
Hargis & my grandfather are 5th cousins 1x removed.
