I am hoping to find someone else who is researching the family of George and
Sarah Hull Piggott, my 5th great grandparents.
George Piggott was born abt 1767 in London, England and married Sarah Hull,
a Quaker abt 1789 in New York, NY. George was listed in the New York City
Directory from 1794 -1808 as a distiller. Their children were:
Elizabeth Piggott b 1791 NY d 1812 NY
Charles Piggott b 1793/1803 NY d 1829
Samuel Piggott b 1795 NY d 1854?
Phebe Piggott b 1800 NY d 1878 - supposedly married Jacob Handley - I am
looking for proof.
Augusta Piggott b 1804 NY d 1864
George Washington Piggott b 1808 NY d 1882 UT md Catherine Allen Howland
1832
Sarah Ann Piggott b 1809 NY d 1884
William Piggott b 1809 NY d 1859
I am basically trying to find more information on these children, who their
spouses were and so forth, and to prove if what I have is correct.
There is a Samuel Piggot age 84 and wife Euphermia Piggot age 78 listed in
the 1880 Brooklyn, NY, NY census. I am trying to establish if this is
George and Sarah's son or not.
There is also a Samuel Pickett chairmaker age 56 and Catherine Pickett age
4_ in the 1850 Brooklyn, NY, NY census.
I would appreciate any information regarding these families.
