Seeking information and descendants of the Pigford families in Frio County, TX.
Mary (McMillan) Pigford (Widow)moved from Madison County, TX to Atascosa Co in about 1875 with 3 daughters (Elizabeth, Mollie & Martha Ford)and 1 son (Jacob Owen). Elizabeth and Mollie married in Atascosa Co. The next year, Mary and the two youngest children moved to Sand Hollow in Frio Co. About 1877, the eldest daughter, Rebecca, her husband, and their three children joined them.

MARTHA FORD PIGFORD (b. 1861, TX - d.1968, Frio Co.)
Husband: JIM BERRY (b. 1858, TX - d. 1949, Frio Co.) 8 Children: Ora, Kittie, Penn, Ollie, Ruth, Ernest, Jack and Esther.
JACOB OWEN PIGFORD (b. 1863, TX - d. 1905, Frio Co.)
Wife: ANNIE BRADY (b. 1866 - d. 1925, Frio Co.)
One Son: LUCIAN PIGFORD(b. 1889 - d. 1955) married DORA COGGIN. Three children: Owen Lucian (b. 1936), Sarah Ann (b. 1937) and Jacob Oliver (b. 1943).
