A number of years ago, the Detroit Genealogical Society pub an article by Charlotte Gilmer supposedly solving the mystery of the parentage of Samuel and Mathias Pierson who came from NJ and settled in Cincinnati area of Ohio. She purported that their father was Wyllis Pierson of the Abraham Pierson of Yale line. Recent DNA testing has shown this NOT to be true. Too many mismatches in the tests of Samuel and Mathias Pierson's descendants vs. those of Abraham Pierson descendants.
The Morris County Samuel and Mathias were closely associated with John Cleves Symmes. He had land bounded by Isaac Pierson and possibly Henry Pierson.
Are there descendants of Isaac or Henry who would be interested in participating in the FTDNA project?
It would be interesting to compare results with the test results of Samuel and Mathias's descendants.
