In the articles the writer, Charlotte Giltner of Grosse Pointe Shores, MI refers to Wyllys Pierson as Capt. Wyllys Pierson. My Wyllys matches this person as he was born in Woodbridge, Middlesex, NJ in 1725 and died in Duck Creek, Hamilton, OH in 1810. Does anyone know why he was referred to as "Captain" I can find no record of his military service. Notify Administrator about this message?
