No problem, I should have done so before.
John Wesley Pierson b. 28 Jan, 1843 in Indiana possible Hendricks County
(I've seen sources that say he was born in 1842 but according to the 1880 Federal Census he was 37 that year. Then again I have also discovered the Federal Census to have misspelled several of my other relatives names so I'm taking it all with a grain of salt.)
d. 24 May 1898
He was a Civil War Union veteran. (I have a photo of him in his uniform.) The story told in my family is that he was severely injured in battle and as his friend attempted to rescue him, their captain ordered the friend to leave John Wesley behind. Fortunately, the friend disobeyed orders and carried my great great grandfather to safety. The injury he sustained during the battle apparently ailed him the rest of his life so much so that he eventually died from it. Now I don't know how much of that is true or not being oral family history and all.

John Wesley married Julia Ann Enoch b. 1 Mar. 1845 d. 1 May 1926 They had nine children together, two died as babies.

John's father was Willis Everett Pierson b. ABT 1816 in Kentucky married to Mary McMaines b. ABT 1816 in Kentucky
