Thankyou so much for replying. My partners 3rd great grandfather was called Joseph D-P and myself and his Aunt are trying to trace more of the family history. The only mismatch at the moment is that she was told Joseph married Elizabeth Pickering and all the other info I've read says Eliz. Hall. We are trying to clear this up, but surely we are the same family. The Thoresby Hall connection, the Nottinghamshire connection from this forum and I've even been told we have something to do with Bess of Hardwick. Please email me and we can swap info. Thanks. Sarah
