I don't know if I have a connection for you. My GGGgrandfather was John Pickup and he was married 1. Hannah Lord,b.1822 in Walsden, Lancashire, England. Children: Emma-1849, James-1852, John W.1860, Mary-1844,Hannah-1842. After the death of his first wife, John married Isobell Crichton and had another family. the interesting thing is that his son John W. (from first marriage) married Isobells sister,Margaret. John Pickup owned a factory that manufactured calico. Was quite well off until a cow drank water from a stream down hill from the factory and died. He was sued, lost everything and died of a heart attack. I don't know if this is the family you're interest in or not. The place names I've have found, Lancashire, Prestwich,Cheshire,Brighouse. Good luck.
