James Fenwick Pickup

Hello, it's been awhile since I have listed my lost Pickup so I am hoping someone has found a tie.

My Pickup tie is:
James Fenwick Pickup
Born about May 21st, 1884
He has listed several birth places. One is Granton, Scotland.
On his marriage certificate he lists Annie Bleer and James Pickup as his parents.
Any ties to anyone out there?
And the family rumor is that he was adopted or at an orphanage.
There was a an N? or H? R Pickup at 8?46 Markham? St in Toronto, that witnessed the marriage in Feb. of 1912. Is this Pickup a relative that sheltered them while in Canada?

Also, they settled in Monroe County, Rochester NY around 1918. I picked them up in the 1920 census. There was ONE other Pickup, a "Chauncey" in Rochester at the time. Is this a coincidence? Or could Chauncey Pickup be a relative that got James and Eliza Pickup to the Rochester area?

If you read all that, I thank you for your time. Any suggestions, however remote would be greatly appreciated!
