Hi Christine, I am researching the Pickup line in Lancashire as well as many others since they seemed to have greater than 10 children. My ancestor, Daniel Pickup was born in 1794 and could very likely be the brother of James Pickup who was the ancestor of Grimshaw Pickup. If you go on rootsweb.com and type in Philip or Grimshaw Pickup you will find several trees. Phil Lea has done a lot of research on the Pickup's and he has Grimshaw in his line but cannot find him after 1861. I have a feeling his wife, Alice may have died in 1858 since there is a several death records between 1855-1861 and since Grimshaw shows up as a lodger in 1861. You can probably supply him with the information after 1861. Hope this helps. Helen Fink
