In 1881 this family as you outline were living at 230 Queens Road Halifax.This road remains a main arterial ring road in Halifax and I use it regularly.
David was 41 and from Sowerby (excellent records here in Halifax if you want him following up.Susannah 37 was from Waterfoot (not Waterford) which is near Bacup - on the road to Todmorden (where my Pickles lived) then on to Sowerby/HalifaxAnne 12jane A 9 Fanny 7 were bornthere - then to Halifax John 5 Harry 3 aaand David 2David father is a master clogger with 2 boys employed.
If he is still there in 1891 I should be able to find him on the 1891 census
