Hello,
I think about this PICKETT / SEVERY couple every once in a while. But, 5 yrs. later I was reviewing my information again. And, I'm curious whether there has been more discussion as to whether it was John, Sr., or John, Jr., who married ~1721 in Marblehead.
Note:I never did receive a response to my letter to the Marblehead Historical Society.
And, this morning I became curious how a Miss Elizabeth PICKETT, born 1726 Marblehead, would grow up to meet a Robert BANCROFT, born ~1720 - somewhere - but who spent probably most of 1730's in Stoughton and Canton, MA.The couple reportedly "lived together" within the Poncapoag Tribe in Canton around 1740.They reportedly married ~1740 in Middleton, MA, and reportedly had children there from 1740 to 1769. ..So, did the PICKETT family have ties to Stoughton, MA, or did the BANCROFT family have ties to Marblehead, MA?Those 2 towns are not close together.
