Pickett Family Genealogy Forum

Thank You again Jim. that is great. One of the things I intended to mention in the previous post was that both my my mother and my dad's sister remembered Edwin Pickett very fondly. I have concluded from my searching that he was actually Samuel Edwin, but my family and most of the census info lists him as Edwin. My memory isn't what it could be and sometimes I get my stories confused, but both he and one of my father's Chapman cousins ended up in California. It just occurred to me to look for Edwin and sure enough he is there, but a different birth day than the Wisconsin Gen index give him, the latter has third of Oct and Cal has mine, Halloween.
Are you interested in the Hatch line, I can post it or I camn stick my yahoo email address in here. I don't have a great deal as again they are not in my direct line of ancestry. I have Edwin Daniel Hatch; 1831-1907 ma Eliza Foster (my 2x great aunt) and his father was Daniel G. Hatch, all I hve found on him is b NY abt 1810 and a second wife Julia Ireland. These folks, especially the Fosters were pretty prolific and adding the siblings and their inlaws has really made my family file a little ridiculous. Especially since my mother's side is just as bad.
I do see some other discrepencies, I have Mary's date of death as a day later than the one listed in her obituary, but I am not going to lose sleep over minor details.
