No, my grandfather was William M. Pickett, b. 1847, son of John and Laura (Dafford) Pickett of Chatham County, NC.
I don't have my Pickett line any further back than Joab and Martha (Copeland) Pickett b. NC. Joab was first in the census records as Head of the Household in 1810 Chatham Co. NC. As far as I know, our lines are not connected but I was interested in reading of your Georgia history.
