Saxton Pickett was the first husband of Elizabeth "Betsey" ROBERTS (1784-1865). They had at least two sons that I am aware of, but I do not have names. Saxton died before 25 September, 1825. On that date, Betsey Pickett married 2. Major Michael S. VAN DER COOK (1774-1852). She was his third wife and they had three sons. Betsey is buried in the Bennington Cemetery, Bennington, Bennington Co., VT, as is Roberts, her middle VanDerCook son. Michael and the first two of his wives (Mahitabel HASKINS and Sally EDDY) are buried in the Old Cooksborough Cemetery, Town of Pittstown, Rensselaer Co., NY.
