Nancy,Thanky you for your reply. I can definitely wait until you are not busy for more info.I'll have to see if I have a William Allen Runyan in my files.I did a quick check and no William Allen Runyan is listed. But, my information on the Runyan fmaily is mainly on William Newton, his 4 wives and 18 children. In my family the Runion's come from my maternal grandmothers side. But, the information I have is because 2 of William Newton Runion's daughters married the same man. This man, was in turn my maternal grandfather's uncle. In addition to the Pickett pictures, I do have some of Wm. Newton Runion's descendants.I do have a picture of Wm. Newton with his 4th wife, Eliza or Catherine, depending on the source used to determine her name.In some places, I've seen her name as Catherine Eliza but in others Eliza Catherine. This makes it more confusing because he also had a daughter named Eliza from his first wife.
I have barely started the Runion family although as a child I attended the Runion reunion held in Ladoga, IN.Until recently, I could not figure out how I was related to those people, but it's more clear now.
I too have no infor on Mary Pickett (Aquilla's wife).I also only have spotty info on his parents and grandparents.Oddly, I have some info on Aquilla's brother James Martin. He married a Tabitha Morphew.I have quite a bit on her because Tabitha Morphew (1819/20) married 25 January 1839 at Putnam County, Indiana to James Pickett (1808/09).This was a county record, and the name was spelled "Morphew").Census records place them in Floyd Township, Putnam County for the years 1850 and 1860.Their children are: William J. ft (1839/40); Lucy N. Pickett (1841/42); Charles Pickett (1842/43); Aquilla Pickett (1845/46).From what I can tell by putting my information with the information of someone I've been writing this is James Martin Pickett.
Then there is a William Jasper Pickettwho married a Mary M ?.From our conversations, we believe this a Mary Melissa Morphew (1842).She is listed as having married a William Jasper Pickett. From my research William Jasper Pickett is the son of James Martin Pickett and Tabitha Morphew Pickett.
I also believe that Aquilla's brother Henry, married Louisa Eggers Wright who was the daughter of Enoch Wright and Mary Eggers. The Eggers and Morphew families tie in on my maternal grandfathers side.
I hope this post makes sense as I typed it rather quickly.
Take Care.Waynette
