Hello Annette,
Like you, I am on the road away from home (Parker, AZ).I am presently in Birmingham, AL visiting relatives.I was originally born here in Jefferson Co., AL.As soon as you can, please contact me directly at my e-mail [email protected] I will respond as soon as I can.We will be here a few days and then we head west toward home.I won't have e-mail most of the summer as we spend the time in a mountain area where there is no e-mail.If I do not answer right away then you know I don't have e-mail access.I would very much like to exchange information with you.
I remember visiting the graves of Fadie Ann and Columbus at Newton Factory Cemetery.I don't have much on their descendants so will appreciate anything you will share.I am descended from the eldest child John Bryant Pickett (I think his middle name might have been Bright but others insist it was Bryant). He died in the Civil War at Dumfries, VA and was buried in an unmarked grave.Carol (my wife) and I went there in 1995 to try and find where he is buried but found that was impossible. All the others are buried in Georgia.
Take care. Please contact me soon if possible and give me your e-mail address and also your mailing address and phone number. Some material may have to be mailed to you such as school records I found.I will not release them to anyone without your permission.
Your cousin,
Bill
