I am also researching the Pickett line with "perhaps" a connection to the Baltimore Picketts.Rebecca Pickett married my great great great grandfather John Connett somewhere in the Athens area of Ohio.Wether or not they ever married married is up for question as she wasn't legally divorced until after the birth of several children with John, but that is neither here nor there.Rebecca's Parents were James H. Pickett and Temperence Price born Baltimore , Maryland no dates, no parents.
The Heathcote name has been carried down to the present day all the way to my son.My Great grandfather was Gardner Pickett Connett and his father was Heathcote Connett son of John and Rebecca. The Pickett, Heathcote and Gardner names carry all the way through the family.
So what I am wondering is this? The Heathcote that lived in Indiana in the late 1700s to early 1800s, is he the same Heathcote that is from the William Pickett line but a few generations down or did he come from the Virginia Picketts? Were there two Heathcote Picketts that settled in Indiana one from each family?Last of all which one is the relative to James H. Pickett who moved into Ohio in the late 1700s and lived there until his death in 1831.Also does anyone have any idea who Temperence Price's parents might have been??
Good grief I almost forgot?? The Manns and the Pickett's and the Connett's all lived in the same area.I have two Julia Ann Picketts in my data base but no Mann for a husband to either of them but I do not have much detail on them either, do you have your Julia Anns birth dates by chance?
