Sandy;

Mu ggrandmother Maude told my Nana Elaine that her marraige was arranged to Tom Anderson because her family in Wales wanted to be able to get asylum from the War in England? Maude said her mother was named Emma Jane Parker whose grandfather was the Right Reverend Parker; her being cousins to the Queen of England. I did discover that indeed there is an Emma Jane Parker but not sure my gggrandmother or not. Nana did tell me that Emma Jane Parkeer was divorced before she married John Lewis so maybe the name that showd on the site I was looking at may have been her first marraige? I will send you a photo of Emma Jane. If this is the case then we are cousins to Camille Parker Bowles who is married to Prince Charles. Very possible as Maude had a lot of wealth (lost during Dust Bowl) and never claimed her inheritance from her father. I did check San Luis Obispo CA county Probate court and there was 10,000 acres ther willed to Elaine which she never claimed. Nana told me she was working at base at the time and too poor to go to court for her inheritance!? Dad told me some distant relative claimed it named Yontz or something like that. Dad also told me John Lewis was a famous trunkmaker from England who got shot while coming out of the opera and that is how he died. Olivia was one of Maude;s sisters who lived in West Palm Beach Florida named Countess Olivia De La Rupelle. Tom Anderson, Maudes first marraige before she married his adopted Modoc son Henry Clay Rambeau, died in his Warring Street house (across from Berkeley University) and cared for Maudes two other spinster sisters-condos there now. Maude sold off all her property in OR, San Bruno racetrack and Market Street San Francisco to try and pay off her loans to ship her cattle to green pastures. Yet, the drought still continued after 7 years so the sheep farmers ended up getting the land for only $65,000. Maude also helped Daly's son of Daly city CA start his medical practice. She knew him when he owned a ranch in OR and they had "range wars". I think he delivered my Nana when she was born and they had an affair as Maude very beautiful and many men were in love with her. Did you get my email on google mail?
