There is a Claudious Piatt listed on some tax records for York, Virginia in 1800 and Claudius Piatt, York, VA 1791. Also a Claude Pyatt for Dinwiddie, Virginia 1799. Others listed were a Joseph Pyatt, Pittsylvania, 1789 and John Pyatte, Henry, 1790. I am trying to find out who Martha Piat was that married John Kite in about 1793 in Virginia and died before 1802. Henry and Pittsylvania are close to each other on the 1790 Virginia census map and Dinwiddie and York are fairly close.
