As the family "historian", I find postcards to be a wonderful source of information! It not only offers names and places of possible long lost relatives, but helps to build character where we may otherwise just have names and dates.

As for where to post them, if there are common surnames among the group, you could always post them under the proper surname forum, and I would be sure to post them under the forum for your Uncle's surnames. You may get lucky and find your Uncle in someone's online genealogy database in which case you can email the person who uploaded the family tree.

Good luck!
