I had excellent results scanning a glass plate.I placed the glass negative in a clear plastic holder to protect the negative and the scanner glass from damage.I scanned on the color settings because I wanted to capture the true old look of the image.
I was amazed. The image on the glass negative was almost gone.I had to look at it from the side to make out any detail. The final scanned image brought out an amazing amount od detail.I was able to see both children in the photo.I could not get the two adults to show up--only identify that they existed on the image.
I suggest that you scan a master image at a high resolution and file the glass in a safe dark place to protect it.To much exposure to the light could damage it.
If you are interested in seeing the results of my scan, let me know.
Good luck.
