Hi all Phipps,
Is there anyone out there connected to this line of Phipps? I am looking for James M Phipps or JM Phipps married to Mary E. Davis, daughter of Guilford Dudley Davis and Almira Firth. They were married Oct. 14, 1895 in Harrison, MO. He is buried in Lake City, Iowa d. about 1919, along with the Davis family. They also lived next door to each other in Missouri. Mary is my mother's paternal grandmother. We know little of the family since my mom was adopted by her mother's sister when her mother died in childbirth. All family ties were cut.
I know Mary was living in 1936, but we have no records of her death. Also, James had to have died before 1920, but can't find anything. They had children Charles Nathaniel,Albert, Lee Sherman, Fred D (no period)(my grandfather). I have pics of Fred and siblings. I have tracked to Ashe, North Carolina, but can't seem to get the information to connect.
