I am looking for informatio about Samuel's or this parents birth place. Oral history places him in Pa. but I cannot confirm this. My husband Tim has particpated in the Phipps DNA project which shows a strong English,Scottish and Irish background but interestingly an Q3 Haplogroup which is Native American. Tim's Grandmother told me there is "black blood" in her husbands family but that hers'is Goddard (said quite pridefully). Is there a Melungeon connection? Anybody with a hint?
