I descend from the marriage of Heman Crowell and Sarah Phinney that happened in 1791 in Harwich. (They had a son John P. Crowell in 1792. I've seen Brewster named as his birthplace, but haven't seen his birth, or any other heman-sarah births there. Heman was from yarmouth, sarah from harwich, but don't see any phinney family having sarah in harwich. can't find them in any searches other than their marriage record. I know from John P. Crowell's death record that Heman and Sarah are his parents. also, his first child is named heman phinney crowell.
can anyone help me? did they move to nova scotia? is anyone aware of the people I'm talking about as all?
I'm really frustrated because I've searched and searched and it doesn't make sense that I wouldn't find some clue somewhere. any help would be most appreciated. thanks - tom
