I am searching for the correct Parents of a James PHINNEY who was born around c1780 possibly in the Granville area of Nova Scotia, CAN.
He is listed as being married to a Mary SPROWL in the IGI records at the LDS site however no reliable source is cited for them.
Supposedly James and Mary had a daughter named Eleanor PHINNEY who was born in Granville on April 21, 1812 and she married Thomas MOODY on Jan. 4, 1831 in Granville.
On March 28, 1835 James Israel MOODY was born to Thomas MOODY and "Elenor" [sic] Phinney and this birth is recorded at the All Saints Anglican Church in Granville with Sources cited. Also a daughter Lois MOODY was born to them on March 22, 1837 same church source cited.
These may however be Christening dates and not actual birth dates.
James PHINNEY, Eleanor's father, is listed on one record as the son of Zachariah PHINNEY. However a search at Google, Ancestry, LDS site etc. brings up Nothing.
Perhaps his name was Zacheus, or Zebulon or some other "Z" name.
If anyone can help on this one, I sure would be most greatful.
