Hi, Rachel,
Here they are on the 1901 Hampshire, England census:
East Boldre, Hampshire, England
Lymington District, page 19:
George Phillips, 40, b abt 1861 East Boldre
Elisabeth Phillips, 33, wife,m b abt 1868 East Boldre
James Phillips, 10, son, b abt 1891 East Boldre
George Phillips, 8, son, b abt 1893 East Boldre
Mary Phillips, 6, daughter, b abt 1895 East Boldre
Charles Phillips, 4, son, b abt 1897 East Boldre
Frederick Phillips, 1, son, b abt 1900 East Boldre
Here they are on the 1891 Hampshire, England census
East Boldre, Hampshire, England
Lymington District, page 22:
George Phillips, 30, b abt 1861, Boldre
Elizabeth Phillips, 23, wife, b abt 1868, Boldre
James Frederick Phillips, 5/12, son, b abt 1890, Boldre
This might be George on the 1881 Boldre, Hampshire census:
Boldre, Hampshire England,
Lymington District, page 11:
Henry Phillips, 44, b abt 1837, Boldre
Emily J. Phillips, 43, wife, b abt 1838, Boldre
George Phillips, 15, son, b abt 1866 Boldre
Joseph Phillips, 11, son, b abt 1870, Boldre
John Phillips, 8, son, b abt 1873, Boldre
Emily Phillips, 4, daughter, b abt 1877, Boldre
This is the only George Phillips I could find in Boldre that comes close to qualifying. However, it does concern me that George does not appear to have named a son Henry or a daughter Emily.
By the way, I am the volunteer administrator of a Phillips DNA project that has over 475 participants, 35 of whom are British. We are offering free DNA tests to any British Phillips man who will share a five generation Phillips lineage with us.Here is a link to our website: www.phillipsdnaproject.com.
Best regards,
Nancy Kiser
