Brickwall because of religious conflict?
In Virginia, I have found an instance in the year of 1768 when a Quaker group kicked out members because they had attended a Baptist service.
Do you know of any other such event? Was this a common occurrence in other religions? Please give me the info if you have it.
The reason it would be important is that if religious schisms ran deep then children who disagreed with the denomination of their parents might be disowned and completely cut out of a will. Thus when researchers might try to connect families through documentation, such as a will, the famous "brickwall" would logically be encountered.
