IElizabeth Phillips of the Township of Stroud County of Monroe and State of Pennsylvania, do make and publish this my last will and testamenthereby revoking and making void all former wills by [--?--] anytime heretofore made. First: I direct all my just debts and funeral expenses to be paid. Second: As to such estate as it has pleased Godto entrust me with, I dispose of the same as follows, Viz:
I give, devise, and bequeath unto my daughter Phoebe Ellen, intermarried with R. O. Brands, the House and lot or piece of land where I now reside, situated in the said township of Stroud, for and during her natural life, and after her death to her children Asa and Lizzie or to such as may hereafter be born unto her share and share alike, and to their heirs and assigns forever.
All the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, real, personal, and mixed whatsoever and weresoever, I order and direct to be convertedinto money as[----?----] as the same [-------?--------] [-----------------?-------------------] after my decease; and forthat purpose I do hereby authorize and [----?----] my executors hereinafter named, and [---------?-------][----------------?--------------] and dispose of all my realestate, not herein devised [----------------?----------------] [---------------------?--------------------------------]
prices[-------?-------] be gotten for the same, andby proper deed or deeds, [-------------?-------------] or as [----?----] in the law to be duly executed and acknowledged, to grant, convey, and assure the same to the purchaser or purchasers whereof.
And after the payment of all my just debts and expenses out of the proceeds of the sale ofmy real and personal estate, I direct the remainder to be equally divided among my six children, or their children, that is to say, the children of my deceasedchildren to receive their parents share, Viz: The children of Mary Ann Snyder, one share, the children of Jacob Phillips, one share, Hannah Slickley, one share, Samuel Phillips, one share, Elizabeth Janna, one share and Phoebe Ellen Brands, one share.
And lastly, I hereby constitute and appoint my son Samuel N. Phillips and my daughter Elizabeth Janna to be the Executors of this my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I the said Elizabeth Phillips the Testatrix have to this my will set my hand and seal the eleventh day of Octoberin the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty six.
