Thanks for your help,Judy. I have a copy of Jack and Geraldine Philen's. "A Philen Heirloom". Much of the Allen Philen famiy and descendants information I shared with them.
But we never could figure out where Allen fit in.
He moved to Monroe Louisiana and married Barbery(Barbara) Barns there. Fereby Philen Mixson (who was sister to William lived in this area also.) Two of her sons (Fereby's)signed Allen and Barbery's marriage certificate there as witnesses.He never lived very far from her and after her death he moved his family to WINN Parish.
There must be a record of his parentage. Written in an old Bible laying in a trunk or box somewhere, and the owner not knowing what precious information they have.
If you should run across some info on him in your searches or by family oral history,Please email me.
