Many years ago, I purchased some Civil War letters written in 1863. The letters are addressed to Mrs. George Philbrook. George Philbrook was from Kendall Mills, Maine. He enlisted in the 6th Maine Infantry and was killed in battle in May 1863. The letters include the first notice that Mrs Philbrook recieved telling her that her husband was dead and describing how he was killed The other letters describe the battle. To accompany this collection, I've been searching for a photo of George Philbrook but so far I've had no luck. I was wondering if anyone has ever come across a picture of this Civil War soldier? I'd love to get a copy. Thanks
