I am doing research on my family - the Nordyke family, and I am working on a connection to the Philbrick's. My first named ancestor married Rebecca Perkins, daughter of Jacob and Sarah Perkins. Jacob was the son of Jacob Perkins and Mary Philbrick. I am trying to determine the parentage of Mary Philbrick. Some sources say John and Ann - who drowned in the wreck of the Rivermouth. Some sources say Sgt. Thomas Philbrick (John's Brother) was her father. I am wondering if Thomas was indeed her father or if he "adopted" her when John and Ann dies (she would have been 6. Complicating matters is that several Mary Philbricks were alive during this time. The one I am looking for would have been born Sept 11, 1651 in Hampton. Do you have any proof of this line in your book?

Thanks!
