My mother was Lila Jean (Jeanne) Phetteplace, born in Stoughton, WI in 1929. Her parents were Oliver and Fern Phetteplace. My grandfather, nicknamed Tuffy, painted homes for Frank Lloyd Wright. My mother was the oldest sister to Gordon, Joseph, Shirley, Connie and Larry. My mother passed away in 1995. All siblings but Shirley are alive - most still live in Wisconsin. The famous inlay artist, Joseph Phetteplace of Wauzeka - not the one from Lone Rock, was my second cousin, I believe; he passed in 1982.
