Hello Charles Bryce,

It is hard to say as there were two Phelps in Windsor and from them the name spread. Both William Phelps and George Phelps had family that moved to New York.

You need to find out if your GGrandfather was from the William Phelps Line or the George Phelps line. Then there is also Phelps that came into MA and had children that moved west to New York as well.

I can say that William Phelps had a son named Joseph, and his gggrandchildren did had a son named Ezekial. So it is very possible we are related.
