Looking for any information regarding William Hardy Phelps b. unknown d. about 1863 during the Civil War. Not sure where he died or is buried.
William Hardy Phelps was married to Suzanne Adkins b. about 1849 in Cabell Co., VA d. unknown date out in TX. She was the d/o Hiram Adkins and Rachael Ross. They were married August 15, 1861 and had 1 son - Martin Van Buren Phelps.
Suzanne Adkins Phelps remarried Harvey May after William H. Phelps died and had 6 children.
I am trying to help the g-grandson of William Hardy Phelps who would just like to know more about his g-grandfather.
