This portrait of the late Professor Edward E. Phelps appears on page 570 of The Florida Dispatch, Farmer and Fruit Grower, for 21 July 1892. Prof. Phelps (M.D., LL.D. of Dartmouth College) reportedly developed some kind of treatment for "nervous complications" and Paresis.
I have no further information on this individual.
