Our line runs as follows:

(LIEUT.) JOHN PHELPS (1740-1801) m.[1] JEMIMA TURNER (c.1740-c. 1780)
-----RICHARD PHELPS (1/1772-1833) m.[1] SARAH WOODCOCK (c. 1776-1815)
----------GEORGE WASHINGTON PHELPS (1812-1892) m.[1] ELIZABETH PALMER (c. 1821-1857)
---------------ALONZO ETTINGER PHELPS (1843-1910) m. ANNA ELIZABETH LYMAN (1853-1914)
--------------------ADELAIDE MAE PHELPS (1881-1935) m. VERNER EUGENE EASTMAN (1877-1953)
-------------------------MARION ADELAIDE EASTMAN (1912- ) m. DONALD ROSS McLAUGHLIN (1908-1989)

Does Marion's name ring a bell? She's my mother, and she used to correspond with a Gordon Merritt years ago about her research.

Peggy
