Phebus-1853 -Indiana by Richard Phebus of 67 Further research has led to evidence indication John's father is Absolom (spelled several different ways in different documents). Born in Ohio around 1830. Absolom's father is James Phebus, born around 1800. His father is thought to be Samuel Phebus and mother Susannah Moore. That's what I have at this time.
