Yes - I am in Arlington, TX very near Dallas. I will do that. Both family lore and multiple posts indicate that Pleasant was Absolom/Absolem's father. Indeed, Pleasant was a family name he passed to his son, and so on. Lore & posts have it that Absolom moved to Missouri from VA, and so on to Texas. So many people believe he is Pleasant's son that it is staggering...
I will look into the records you suggested. I think I once upon a time saw that Absolom had inherited from Pleasant, as a son. I will check that out, too.
I tried to find your e-mail address, but it was blocked. If you have any info about the true sons of Isabell Childress that may shed some light - I would be much obliged....
