My great great grandfather was James Faris, born Delaware abt 1826. He was in Philadelphia PA by 1847 where my great grandfather, George Kane Faris, was born.
James married twice: 1. Jane Kane (d. 1860) and 2. Emma Smith
James had 7 children:
1. George Kane Faris b. 1847 - married Mary Jane O'Malley 1869 d. 1918 - 8 children
2. Henry Faris b. 1852 - nothing further known
3. Walter Faris b. 1855 - nothing further known
4. Lillian Faris b. 1859 - married John Ferguson 1885 - 2 children
5. Adelaide Faris b. 1864 - married John Dickson 1883 - 1 child
6. Kate Faris b. 1869 - married Harry Baumeister 1889 - 3 children
7. Harry J Faris b. 1878 - married abt 1904 Elmira Crainey, later married her sister Mildred after she died, died 1945 - 2 children
