Does anyone know the relationships between these 3 families living in close proximity to one another on the 1860 census of Rapides Parish, LA:
1. Thomas Phares, 35, head
Margaret Jane Phares, 26
Daniel S. Phares, 10
John Pearce Phares, 8
Sarah Ann Phares, 6
Mahala Phares, 2
2. John Phares, 46, head
Mary Phares, 39
Nancy Phares, 17
Ellen Phares, 15
Henry M. Phares, 12
Betsey Ann Phares, 3
3. Moses Phares, 30, head
Mahala Phares, 40
I have noted the surname to be spelled Phares, Pharis, Farris, and Pharris in different places for these same people. Thomas and Margaret Jane were my g-g-grandparents. Don't know who the people in the other families are, but must be kin. Any information or leads would be most appreciated. Thanks, Cathy Pharis Moore
