Edith Phares Lambert, 84
Edith Phares Lambert, 84, of Riverton died April 2 at the Courtland Acres Nursing Home in Thomas. <1990>
She was born May 27, 1905, at Riverton and was the daughter of the late John and Alice Boggs Phares.
Mrs. Lambert was a member of Riverton United Methodist Church.
On December 16, 1922, she married Roy Welton Lambert, who died July 21, 1987.
Surviving are one daughter, Christabelle Poore of Fort Washington, Md.; four sons, Robert Lambert of Riverton, John Lambert of Morgantown, Keith and Harold "Jim" Lambert, both of Circleville; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She had outlived all of her siblings.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Riverton United Methodist Church by the Rev. Scott Gentry. Burial will be at the North Fork Memorial Cemetery at Riverton.
Friends may call at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin after 9 a.m. Wednesday. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
