Thanks for the information. It's a small world. I have BOYER & STARK ancestors, and I also had relatives in Brooklyn, Iowa. My BOYER line came from Germany to York Co., PA, 1731: (John) Adam BOYER & wf. Anna Rosina, who was granted administration of his estate in Apr. 1755. They are in American Boyers, Edition 7, Volume 6. Unfortunately, the index will be in the final volume, not out yet.
My STARK line is from Aaron of early Connecticut (by the 1630's).
The FamilySearch database of the 1880 Census indicates that many immigrants from Sweden went to Oakland, Burt Co., NE, including Chas. JOHNSON, 40, with wife Regina, 20, b. NY, parents b. Prussia. Do you know their first child? The census has dau., female, Allan, 1, b. Nebraska. Should that be Ellen?
USGenWeb has quite a bit of information, including the St. Michael's Cemetery, but it's not indexed, so you have to scroll way down to find
Carl JOHNSON (31 Dec. 1836 - 23 Apr. 1924)
Regina (15 Mar. 1860 - 6 Je. 1942) &
Anna F. (3 Sep. 1881 - 20 Aug. 1974).
Do you know which of the JOHNSON entries for 1930 at West Point, Cuming, NE, connect? I don't have the census, but the database shows these, JOHNSON:
Alvin J., b. ca. 1896
Simon P., 1868
Lawrence W., 1890
Anna L., 1887
John L., 1888
Peter J., 1880
Dona A., 1923
Eva M., 1926
