Dear Annie,

I don't know if there is any connection, but my husband's Great Aunt Ida Pauline Luise Konradine vonZabiensky, b. Feb. 17 1813 in Enger, married a Dr. Pfeil and came to US (Philadelphia area) in mid 1800's. The vonZabiensky's were from the nobility (proof back to 1500's thru Gotha). The Pfeils may also be from the nobility, so you might want to check the Gotha. Ida and Dr. Pfeil had children. How many I do not know. I have a photo of a son named Max and I think a sister. Let's stay in touch. Berta Ranft --
