Pfeiffers from Germany to Minnesota
I am looking for any information the family of Ernst Pfeiffer and wife Henrietta Borchert. Ernst was born March 1831 Germany, died Nov 6, 1905 in Brainerd,MN. Henrietta was born Oct 18, 1830, Prussia and died Aug 13, 1888 at St Mathias, MN. They immigrated to U.S. in early 1880's on a ship named the Ohio with three children; William-born June 30, 1863Colbe,Satle Province,Saxony, Germany, died August 08, 1942 Jamestown, ND; Anna born July 02, 1866, married name was Shannon, and died in 1940's at St. Mathias Mn; Third child, Harry which I have little information on other than he probably remained in St. Louis when the rest of the family moved on to Minnesota. I have some old family photos of him when he came to Minnesota to visit the family, and one possibly of members of his family taken at St. Louis Fair.
William's family is well documented now and almost completed now. Anna's family consisted of a daughter who died as an infant, and an adopted son Claude Shannon who eventually moved out west to Washington and lost contact with rest of family. I have been unable to find any information or connection to Harry's family. I am also having a great deal of difficulty tracing the family any further back than Ernst and Henrietta. If any of this sounds in any familiar or possibly connected to anyone, I would appreciate any help on it! I have a copy of an old family letter describing the voyage over and a number of old photos of family members that I would be happy to share with anyone who thinks they might have some connection to this family!
