good morning Mr. Pickholtz this may be a bit of a stretch but i have been researching my great grandmother & great grandfather. she was Dora Pfeffer, came to the US in 1900 at the age of 18 from Kopelhyzee Austria, the Ellis Island site says she was to be staying with a "Pickholz" in New York..... i know she married Samuel Hollander (in 1909 i think) he also came to the US in 1900 at the age of 25......his place of residence in Austria is listed as Liszdo Sansk, sadly Samuel died at age 40 0r 42, i have the paperwork from the cemetery at home (i am at work now) they had at least 3 children, Esther (later changed her name to Estelle), Rose (was born with a different name and changed it to Rose) and Abraham (later changed his name to Joseph) I believe they may also have had twins who died at birth. does any of this sound familiar to you? best wishes in your search Beth Ford Notify Administrator about this message?
