Aloo May, dau of Adam Pfann(e)kuche, d. AR
I have been viewing your messages on Adam. His parents did not come to the states as far as we can ascertain. We had always been told as a child that Adam stole away on a ship at abt age 14 from Prussia to the states. My grandfather, Ira Franklin (Frank) Laroe was the eldest son of Aloo May Pfannekuche and James William LaRoe.They married October 28, 1894, Muscogee First Federal CH, IT.Aloo May died on Nov 17, 1923, Mountain View, Stone Co., AR.Grandpa Frank knew his mother a lot better than his siblings.
Have you all been in contact with Gerald (Jerry) Pfannkuche from Vinita, Craig Co., OK?He is the son of Charles (I believe) brother to Aloo May.He has many memories and items and knows much of the family history.
We found on the mortality schedule that Susan Carrington (Cannington) died in 1879 before the 1880 census plus a son.No one knows for sure which cemetary she is actually buried in though. She was the daughter of Anderson Carrington and Sabra Smith. We found her brother Columbus was a business owner in Hamilton Co., TN (Chattanooga).I found his and his family cemetery engravings on genweb.
Would love to be included in the exchange of information with you two if possible. My mother was even born in Vinita, OK.Her ashes are buried in Mtn View, AR.
Betty
