Am interested in establishing contact with descendants of Andreas "Andrew" PFAHLER (born about 1847 in Germany). He appears to have immigrated to the US (probably Texas) in 1865, married Maria Wilhelmine "Mary" SCHLATHER (born 3 Oct 1857 in Texas) in about 1877 in the San Antonio area, and had several children (Adolph, Ida, Fritz, and Paul) before moving the family to Los Angeles Co. after 1882. Additional children (Erna, Mary, and Louisa) were born there. The family is listed in the 1900 and 1910 censuses of Los Angeles, where "Andrew" is shown as working for a Brewery Co. "Mary" is shown to have had 7 children, with 7 still living.

In the 1910 census, Mary's mother (Henriette Otto Schlather) is shown living with the family - listed as an 85-year-old mother-in-law with the name "Henrietta Schlater". I have a small amount of information about Henriette, but at this point do not have her parents. I do have the Schlather line back into Germany to the 1500's. Please post or send me an e-mail to exchange information.
