Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

There is a George Pfahler (born in Germany)in my family tree. He had a son named John (Johannes) W. Pfahler, (1809-1886), he was from Wartemburg, Germany. He married Mary Kines, (1819-1886) in 1832, both John and Mary were born in Germany, came to the U.S. and settled in Pennsylvania. They had a son named David "Dice" Pfahler (no relation to Andrew "Dice" Clay). George Pfahler's father is believed to be Christine but we are still trying to confirm this.
